Alexander Bonde
Alexander Bonde is General Secretary of the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) in Osnabrück. The largest environmental foundation in Europe promotes innovative and model approaches to environmental protection in the fields of environmental technology, environmental research and nature conservation as well as environmental education and the protection of cultural assets. One focus is the promotion of eco-innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises.
Bonde, who was born in Freiburg, is former Minister of Rural Areas and Consumer Protection in the state of Baden-Württemberg (2011-2016). He was President of the Baden-Württemberg Tourism Association, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus AG and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of L-Bank (Förderbank/Staatsbank).
From 2002 to 2011, Bonde was a member of the German Bundestag and, among other things, a member of the budget committee and budget policy spokesman for the Bündnis90/Die Grünen parliamentary group.
